Butler Performance Paddle Wheel Upgrade Pro Series 60psi oil pump with oil pickup screen and hardware
The “Paddle Wheel” design provides extra exit velocity in feet per second at a rate of 2×1 over normal gear-to-gear methods.
Due to the thickness of the plate on the Pro pumps, when using a pickup with a mounting tab, a slight modification of the tab may be necessary. This can easily be done by bending the tab up and elongating the mounting hole.
Butler Performance has been selling our PRO 80psi Oil Pump for a while and it's worked great. We now offer this same PRO pump in a 60-65 psi version for the those of you that want a high quality oil pump but have a milder combo that doesn't require 80+ psi of pressure.
Features oil retention points on each tooth to prevent galling on the plate
We recommend a 1/8-1/4" oil pan to pickup clearance. Must be checked with all pumps and pickup regardless of oil pan.
Do I need to clean an oil pump before installing?
Yes, you should always clean and inspect a new oil pump before installation to remove manufacturing debris. While not mandatory for all, it is highly recommended to open, clean, inspect for tight spots, and lubricate the gears with assembly lube or clean engine oil to ensure proper operation upon startup.
