Butler Performance is more than a parts company — it's a team of passionate Pontiac enthusiasts who have dedicated their careers to the cars they love. When you call Butler Performance, you're talking to people who have built the very engines and installed the exact parts they're selling you.

Leadership

Mike Butler — Founder & Owner. Mike started Butler Performance in the 1960s from a passion for Pontiac performance that has never wavered. He remains active in the business and is known to answer the phone himself. Mike's knowledge of Pontiac engines spans every production year and displacement.

Engine Building Staff

Our engine builders average over 20 years of Pontiac-specific experience. Each builder has worked on hundreds of engines — from mild street builds to world-record drag engines — and brings that hands-on knowledge to every phone call, email, and custom build quote. When you ask for a cam recommendation or an engine kit, you're getting advice from someone who has actually assembled that combination on a bench.

Parts & Sales Team

Our parts and sales team are Pontiac enthusiasts first, salespeople second. Every team member owns or has owned at least one Pontiac, and most have built their own engines using the same parts we sell. You won't get a script — you'll get an honest answer based on real experience.

Machine Shop

Our machine shop staff operates our Haas UMC-750P 5-axis CNC machining center and supporting equipment. Their precision work on block prep, head porting, and custom machining is what separates a Butler-built engine from a parts-bin assembly. Every measurement is documented; nothing leaves the shop without meeting spec.
